The Dual-Channel Image Tracking System DC / NM is a high-dynamic positioning system for stabilized, synchronized alignment of two image sensors—optimized for EO/IR dual-sensor configurations in tactical UAVs and airborne surveillance units. The two sensors rotate in parallel around separate but synchronously driven axes to maintain a stable field of view during carrier movement. Each sensor can also be adjusted independently in its viewing direction via linear translation.

Highly compact, lightweight & dynamic
The mechanical system is tailored for military ISR missions (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) requiring compact design, low weight, and rapid response. It is ideally suited for EO/IR reconnaissance units on UAVs, manned platforms, or mobile ground stations.
Synchronized rotation is achieved via a coupled DC motor and steel cable drive. A high-ratio gearbox ensures smooth movement and fine resolution. Linear adjustment of each sensor’s viewing direction is realized using Nanomotion piezo motors—ideal for high-acceleration environments with limited space.
With up to 17 m/s² linear acceleration and repeatabilities of ±0.3 µm (linear) and <0.002° (rotational), the system meets the demands of precise image control under dynamic operating conditions. High-resolution optical encoders ensure real-time feedback for closed-loop control.
