AC motors are suitable for industrial use and suited for applications in the medium power range.
They are simple, robust and provide high speeds and medium torques. They are controlled via a 3-phase rotary field. This motor type needs a measurement system or an encoder for positioning tasks. With the AC motor, the permanent magnet serves as the rotor and the coil as the stator. It has internal or external electronic commutation.
