Steinmeyer catenary measuring systems are used in railroad companies, in public transportation services, in tram lines as well as in railroad infrastructure companies for acceptance and maintenance of their catenary system. By means of our instruments the static idle state of the catenary, the catenary height and the catenary stagger (zig-zag run of the catenary) are checked relative to the rail center. The non-contact measurements are executed manually and selectively, at structures and hangers, e. g. to simulate height differences and tilting changes. We combine our classical measuring instruments, also known as optical perpendiculars, with up to date laser technology. The instruments are easy to use and technically approved. Additionally we offer our Software FMcapture© for project oriented, complete data acquisition of catenary parameters including: catenary height, position, distance to the pole leading edges, tilt and catenary wear.
